The ENTER EdTech Project is an EU-funded initiative aiming to empower undergraduate and postgraduate students, faculty members, researchers, educators and university alumni, to become EdTech entrepreneurs.

What is the Hellenic Learning Innovation Hub (LIH)?It is a new, innovative program aiming to improve the quality of entrepreneurship education around Education Technology (EdTech) in Higher Education in Greece. It runs simultaneously in 5 different EU countries (Greece, Cyprus, Germany, Portugal, Slovenia) and it is funded by the European Union within the Erasmus Plus program. The Hellenic LIH provides a comprehensive training program, curated learning resources and mentorship, allowing you to scale your products/services and accelerate your growth quickly and effectively, while maintaining all intellectual property rights and staying 100% independent.

What is the added value?Built by Educators and EdTechpreneurs for aspiring startuppers in Education Technology, with the international component built-in by conception, the Hellenic EdTech Learning Innovation Hub offers a practical path to its participants, to identify business opportunities, build their own ventures and succeed in a very demanding international environment.

Who are the collaborating partners?This program is organized within the ENTER EdTech project (https://www.enteredtech.eu) which brings together academic and industrial partners with significant entrepreneurial experience and expertise in educational technologies and learning pedagogies. Can I apply if I don’t have an operating company?Yes. This program is designed to boost early stage EdTech project teams with a ready or almost ready prototype. You should be prepared to either start validating and testing your product/service with first pilot users, and expand your existing user base, or to further develop your idea to an MVP (Minimum Viable Product). We will analyze each application on a case-by-case basis and select a handful of particularly high-potential EdTech teams or companies.

Can I apply if my EdTech company is not headquartered in Greece?Yes. However, you must have impact in Greece and the European region.

How many EdTech teams/companies are accepted into the program?The application deadline for 2022 ends on October 16th. For the 2022 edition, we will accept up to five (5) teams into the program.

What is the time commitment for participating in the program of the Hellenic Learning Innovation Hub?Accepted EdTech startups/teams are required to commit 3-5 hours per week, split between training and mentoring sessions as well as work on deliverables. You will be required to attend the virtual training sessions for five days in the first five weeks (one session per week), and may be invited to participate in face-to-face or virtual meetings during the mentoring phase. Your success in the program is highly dependent upon your level of commitment. The more time you invest, the more benefit you derive from the program.

What are my responsibilities as a participating EdTech startup/team?In order for us to best support you, team members must fully engage in the training and mentoring process. We expect participants to attend the weekly virtual seminars during the first 5 weeks, give feedback via regular questionnaires during the program, engage with your coach, supply documentation and information about your business as requested, respond to requests promptly, and provide updates on your progress.

What does the content of the training and mentoring cover?Our content covers five main pillars for running and growing a successful business: Product market fit, Execution, Financial Planning, Marketing and Sales.

What level of English is required to participate in the program?Most of the training and mentoring program will be held in the English language. Therefore, a good command of the English language is required both verbally and written. Some of the mentoring and coaching sessions may take place in Greek.

How much does it cost?It’s free. We don’t take any equity and our training and mentoring program is free of charge.

Does the Hellenic Learning Innovation Hub take equity in my company?Unlike many (pre)Accelerators, we do not take equity of participating companies.

Will the programme take any ownership of my business?Not at all! We are a not-for-profit programme supported by the European Union and the Knowledge Alliance Erasmus Plus program. Your business is your business. We just want to help you grow it.

Who will be my mentors?Mentors typically have deep experience in finance, investment, management consulting, technology, and/or entrepreneurship. They are selected from a large pool of candidates through a rigorous selection process.

Do participants get introduced to investors?Yes. Program participants have the opportunity to meet fund investors at virtual or face-to-face events that will be held during the program.
